EYELASH EXTENSIONS

DOES THE APPLICATION HURT?

No.  It is completely painless.

WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

A specialist will add single eyelashes onto your natural eyelashes by using a special type of glue. The glue will adhere almost instantly; keeping the eyelashes in place. Because the specialist has to apply one eyelash at a time, the procedure will take a while to complete. Albeit, most of the clients tend to be so relaxed that they end up falling asleep.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

It varies on which set you choose to do.  The time ranges from 1 hour to 1 hour & 30 minutes long.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO GET EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

While there is no minimum age required, we do request that anyone under the age of 18 have a parental consent.

CAN I SHOWER OR GET MY EXTENSIONS WET?

Absolutely. The eyelash extensions are waterproof, so you may shower as you normally would.  You may also go swimming or surfing or continue with whatever activities you are involved in.

HOW LONG DO THE EXTENSIONS STAY ON FOR?

The extensions can last up to 1 month.  The average duration is about 3 weeks.  The extensions will last longer with proper care and maintenance.

IS IT SAFE TO GET EYELASH EXTENSIONS IF I HAVE SENSITIVE EYES, WEAR CONTACT LENSES OR GLASSES?

Yes  to all three.  We have a special glue that is specifically for individuals with sensitive skin/eyes.  The extensions will not interfere or effect your contact lenses or glasses while you're wearing them.  Albeit, after the application, you may experience some redness and/or irritation around the eye area.  A majority of  our clients said the discomfort was minimal and  it goes away in a few hours.

CAN I STILL GET EYELASH EXTENSIONS IF I HAVE LITTLE TO NO EYELASHES?

Indeed you can.  The specialist will add the extensions to where it will make your eyelashes look natural and full.

WILL I LOSE MY NATURAL EYELASHES IF I GET EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

It is common to lose a few of your natural eyelashes when the extensions begin to wither away. Most clients report of losing about 4 to 5 eyelashes, so it won't even be noticeable.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHICH STYLE TO CHOOSE THAT WILL BEST SUIT MY FACE?

The specialist will have a consultation with you before the procedure, so she will go over everything with you. She will show you the different styles that we have, and explain them to you and give her advice on which style she feels will look best on you. Don't worry, we'll take good care of you. :)

PRE EYELASH EXTENSION APPLICATION:

Please remove any eye make-up [eyeliner, mascara, powder], lotion, cream, glitter, etc. Also, clean your eyes and the surrounding area before the procedure. You may leave your contact lenses on, but it could cause some irritation to your eyes afterwards if they are left on.

POST EYELASH EXTENSION APPLICATION:

You may keep your eyelash extensions and the surrounding area clean by using our aftercare products. Follow the instructions on the package or the directions instructed by one of JT Lash Studio's specialists.  If you have any questions regarding maintenance or need further assistance, please contact the studio.

Microblading

THE PROCEDURE:

Microblading is a form of trimming, shaping, or creating eyebrows. A blade is used for the procedure rather than a needle tattooing instrument. The technique is dragging a blade across the eyebrows; creating single hair strokes. This method will make the eyebrows look more real.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?

The cosmetologist will apply a topical anesthetic cream on the eyebrows and the surrounding area  to numb the pain. Most of the clients state that the pain is bearable, and it is more of a discomfort rather than pain. The cream is used to make certain that you will not feel any discomfort or pain. The cosmetologist can also apply more cream as the procedure progresses, so you will be good every step of the way.

WHEN CAN I RETURN FOR A TOUCH-UP?

The ink type is semi-permenant. A majority of the clients return for a touch-up between 9 months to a year & a half. It varies depending on each person's skin and how well the skin absorbs the ink and how soon it pushes the ink out. If you feel you want to touch-up your eyebrows before it even begins to fade, you are more than welcome to return to have it done.

WHAT IS MICROSHADING?

Microshading is a stippling technique where the blade will be pushed down against your eyebrows; creating a fuller/thicker look. The procedure is easier and quicker to do than microblading.

IS MICROSHADING PAINFUL?

Since the procedure requires using a blade similar to microblading, the pain intensity is about the same. Again, most clients do not have an issue with the pain level, and can tolerate it with minimal topical anesthetic cream applied. The cosmetologist can apply more cream to suit your comfort level.

WHEN CAN I RETURN TO RESHADE MY EYEBROWS?

The same as microblading.
